Tehama County, CA (November 13, 2025) — A serious crash involving a semi-truck and a minivan sent two women to the hospital Wednesday afternoon just north of Los Molinos.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 1:20 p.m. on November 12 on northbound Highway 99 near 3rd Avenue. Investigators say the driver of a minivan slowed to make a left turn when a logging semi-truck failed to stop and slammed into the rear of the vehicle.
The rear of the minivan sustained extensive damage, while the truck was only slightly damaged. A female passenger in the van was airlifted with major injuries, and the female driver was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. The truck driver was uninjured.
Both directions of Highway 99 were shut down temporarily to allow for emergency operations and cleanup. The highway has since reopened. CHP continues to investigate the incident.
