St. George, UT (July 26, 2025) — A mid-afternoon crash at one of the city’s busiest intersections disrupted traffic and sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday.

According to reports, video footage from CollisionCam captured the moment a white passenger vehicle traveling south on River Road struck another white passenger car attempting a left turn onto Riverside Drive. The crash occurred at 1:21 p.m. on July 23.

Both drivers were evaluated for injuries and transported to the hospital as a precaution, according to St. George Police. No passengers were involved. Firefighters, police officers, and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene. One of the heavily damaged vehicles had to be dragged out of the roadway by Utah Department of Transportation’s Incident Management team.

Police said citations were not issued at the time as the investigation was ongoing. Traffic was cleared shortly after 2 p.m., though authorities reminded drivers not to endanger others by attempting to bypass blocked intersections.
