Columbia County, WI (June 2, 2025) — A Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputy and another driver were injured Saturday after a serious crash in Arlington Township.
According to reports, the crash occurred at the intersection of WIBU Road and Meek Road on May 31. Authorities said the deputy was responding to an emergency backup call with lights and sirens activated when the squad car collided with another vehicle. Preliminary findings indicate the deputy approached a stop sign but did not see the other car entering the intersection. The impact caused the squad car to roll over multiple times.
Emergency crews transported both the deputy and the other driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the investigation. Officials noted that the deputy’s dash cam and body camera were recording during the incident.
