The Maricopa Police Department reported that the accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when two vehicles collided head-on, impacting two additional vehicles.
Emergency responders airlifted two individuals to Valley hospitals with severe injuries, while four others suffered minor injuries and were transported for medical evaluation. Authorities shut down SR 238 in both directions as they worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
