According to reports, the incident began around 4:53 p.m. when Cascade County Sheriff’s deputies located a stolen vehicle east of Great Falls and initiated a pursuit. As the chase entered city limits, the suspect reportedly fired shots at deputies and Great Falls Police Department officers at multiple locations.

The pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle collided with another car at 38th Street North and 2nd Avenue North. Two occupants in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and have since been released from medical care. The suspect was partially ejected during the crash and transported to Benefis Hospital, where he remains under law enforcement supervision.
