According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:53 a.m. on October 1 in the 3300 block of Kermit Highway. Authorities say 54-year-old Ramon Espinosa of Odessa was traveling eastbound on a blue e-scooter in the outside lane of the highway when he was struck from behind.
The vehicle involved, a silver Ford Expedition, was being driven by 32-year-old Sierra Hall of Andrews. Espinosa died at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the crash. Hall was not reported injured.
