Hill County, TX (October 3, 2025) – An 84-year-old man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in Hill County, just north of Whitney.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred around 6:35 p.m. on September 30, 2025, on Farm to Market Road 933 near the intersection with Farm to Market Road 1713.
Authorities reported that a Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the center dividing line and struck a southbound GMC Sierra. The impact caused the RAV4 to overturn.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Tragically, the driver of the Toyota, identified as Eugene Aleshire of Whitney, was pronounced dead from his injuries.
