According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. when a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, driven by 21-year-old Jacob Leathe, struck a 2025 Toyota Tacoma operated by 76-year-old Larry Miller. Authorities say the Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed on Mercer West Middlesex Road when it collided with the pickup truck.

After the initial impact, the Corvette left the roadway, hit an embankment, and flipped before landing back on the road. Leathe and his passenger, 19-year-old Urie Byler, were pronounced dead at the scene. Larry Miller and his passenger, 76-year-old Cynthia Miller, were transported to a nearby hospital, where both later died from their injuries.
