Cape Coral, FL (September 25, 2025) – A motorcyclist was killed Monday evening following a violent collision with a pickup truck at a busy Cape Coral intersection.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:36 p.m. on September 22 at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard North and Northeast 10th Terrace. Cape Coral Fire Department and Lee County EMS responded quickly to the scene. An off-duty Cape Coral Police Department officer arrived moments after the crash and performed CPR on the motorcyclist.
Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:45 p.m. Authorities stated the motorcycle had been traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when it collided with a pickup truck making a left-hand turn onto Northeast 10th Terrace. The truck’s driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Northbound lanes of Del Prado Boulevard North were temporarily closed but have since reopened. The investigation remains ongoing under the Cape Coral Police Department.
