Bowie County, TX. (November 25, 2025) – A deadly collision involving two semi-trucks claimed the life of a North Carolina man early Friday morning near New Boston.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place around 2:20 a.m. on November 22 along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near mile marker 198. A truck tractor pulling a semi-trailer reportedly collided with the rear right side of another 18-wheeler that was also traveling eastbound.
Both trucks and their trailers came to rest across the highway, spilling cargo across the roadway and leading to significant cleanup operations.
James Earl Holder, 58, who was riding in the sleeper berth of the first truck, tragically died in the crash. His identity was confirmed by local authorities.
