Midland County, TX (August 16, 2025) — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night in a collision with an SUV at a busy Midland County intersection, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to reports, the fatal crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on August 14 at the intersection of East Business 20 and County Road 1160. Authorities said 31-year-old Yenny Paola Lemos Duque of Midland was driving a BMW X5 southbound on County Road 1160 when she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.

The BMW collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, resulting in the death of the rider, 33-year-old Raven Wesley Shaw, also of Midland. Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials noted that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Texas DPS is continuing to investigate the incident. No further details have been released.
