According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place just before 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Street and the BNSF railway tracks. Emergency crews arrived to find a heavily damaged vehicle near a stopped Metrolink train. The sole occupant of the vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters before being transported to a local hospital.
