Speegleville, TX (October 3, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision sent both drivers to the hospital Wednesday morning following a crash at a rural Speegleville intersection.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision took place around 9:00 a.m. on October 1 at the intersection of McLennan Crossing and Speegleville Road. Investigators say the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was heading eastbound on McLennan Crossing when they failed to yield the right of way to a southbound dump truck on Speegleville Road.
The resulting collision caused injuries to both drivers. Emergency medical services transported them to a nearby hospital, where one was reported in critical condition. The extent of the other driver’s injuries has not been disclosed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Texas DPS. No other vehicles were involved.
