Palmdale, CA (September 24, 2025) – A violent multi-vehicle crash in Palmdale left one woman dead and several others injured on Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on September 20 at the intersection of Avenue N and 22nd Street West. Authorities say a 25-year-old man driving a 2008 Mercedes attempted to illegally pass another vehicle by using the north shoulder of Avenue N. He lost control, striking a 2021 Lexus IS before colliding head-on with a 2022 Honda HR-V. Debris from the impact also hit a 2019 Honda Accord.
Chelsea Jewkes, a 31-year-old woman from Lancaster, was fatally injured in the crash, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner. Three additional victims sustained moderate to severe injuries and were transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 25-year-old K. Littiz, and his passenger, 22-year-old K. Wright, fled the scene on foot but were later apprehended and taken into custody.
