Killeen, TX (September 23, 2025) – A Houston man has been sentenced to six years in prison following a chaotic series of four vehicle crashes that occurred in Killeen on October 13, 2023. The crashes resulted in multiple injuries and road closures, prompting a significant police response.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 27-year-old Devin Lamar Nelson was found guilty in Bell County’s 426th District Court on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The court ruled that Nelson used his blue Dodge Charger as a deadly weapon during the incident.
The incident began around 7:30 p.m. on East Stan Schlueter Loop near Trimmier Road.
