Portland, OR (September 17, 2025) — Traffic on Interstate 205 came to a standstill early Tuesday morning following a rollover crash involving a semi-truck and a suspected drunk driver in east Portland.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on September 16 near Powell Boulevard. Authorities said 25-year-old John C. Lee Jr. crashed into a semi-truck while allegedly under the influence, causing the truck to lose control and overturn across the freeway.
The semi-truck driver was not injured, but emergency crews transported Lee to a nearby hospital as a precaution before placing him under arrest. He now faces charges including DUII, reckless driving, and first-degree criminal mischief.
