Chula Vista, CA (August 12, 2025) – Two people were killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Chula Vista. The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. on August 11 at Telegraph Canyon Road and Apache Drive.
According to reports, a Subaru traveling eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road attempted to turn onto Apache Drive when it was broadsided by a westbound Ford Mustang. The impact left four people trapped inside the Subaru, requiring emergency crews to use the Jaws of Life to free them.
A man believed to be the Subaru’s driver and one passenger were pronounced dead from their injuries. Two additional passengers from the Subaru and the Mustang’s driver, a man in his 40s, were transported to the hospital for treatment. The Chula Vista Police Department is investigating the crash.
