Crawford County, KS (September 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 69 in southeast Kansas left one man seriously injured during the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 9.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 6:25 a.m. about five miles north of Kansas Highway 47. A 2009 Ford Fusion driven by 38-year-old Gregory Matthew Prince of Leawood, Kansas, was headed south in the inside lane of US-69 when it struck the rear of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado.
The Silverado, driven by 59-year-old Lester Wayne Moore of Arcadia, Kansas, had just turned onto the highway from East 680th Street and merged into the same southbound lane.
Prince, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg for further treatment. Moore was reportedly uninjured in the crash.
