According to the New York State Police, the crash happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the Town of Nichols. A tractor trailer traveling eastbound struck the rear of a passenger vehicle that was also heading east on the highway.
Both individuals in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. On Monday, September 9, troopers identified the victims as 45-year-old Frank J.
