Coryell County, TX (September 28, 2025) – An 18-year-old woman from Gatesville tragically lost her life following a head-on crash Wednesday morning along Highway 36 near Long Bridge in Coryell County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 10:10 a.m. on September 24. Romi Jolee Bomar was driving a 2014 Jeep eastbound when she reportedly lost control while navigating a curve. The vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford F-350 traveling westbound.
Bomar was rushed to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the Ford F-350 also suffered serious injuries and was transported to the same medical facility for treatment.
