Lubbock, TX (September 28, 2025) – A late-night pedestrian accident on US Highway 87 claimed the life of 30-year-old Brandon Guerrero on Friday, according to local authorities.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident took place around 11:14 p.m. on September 26, approximately 0.37 miles north of 98th Street in Lubbock.
Guerrero was driving a 2018 Ford Escape northbound on the US 87 frontage road when he became involved in a minor single-vehicle crash. After the crash, the Ford became disabled in the northbound lanes of the highway. Guerrero exited the vehicle and attempted to cross into the southbound lanes, where he was struck by an oncoming car.
