Albuquerque, NM (January 25, 2026) – A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at an abandoned multi-family residential structure in Albuquerque, resulting in one person being rescued and hospitalized.
According to the Albuquerque Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched around 7:08 a.m. on January 21 to a possible structure fire at 216 60th Street Northwest. Rescue 7 arrived first and confirmed a working fire inside the vacant building.
While conducting a search operation, firefighters discovered an unconscious victim inside the structure. The individual was quickly removed and received on-site medical attention from AFR personnel.
