According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on September 6 at the intersection of Central Road and Pahute Road. A white Jeep Compass and a gray Ford Bronco were involved in the collision.
Following the crash, the Ford Bronco veered off the roadway and came to a stop in the front yard of a residence on the northwest corner of the intersection. The driver of the Bronco was trapped in the wreckage, prompting firefighters to use the Jaws of Life to perform an extrication.
Emergency responders transported both drivers to local hospitals for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed, but both were reported as injured.
