Madera County, CA (September 2, 2025) – A two-car accident in Oakhurst resulted in both vehicles overturning late Saturday morning, though no life-threatening injuries were reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:20 a.m. on a roadway just east of Civic Circle. Investigators say a Mariposa man was driving a Toyota westbound in the No. 1 lane at about 35 miles per hour, while an Oakhurst woman in a Subaru was traveling in the same direction in the No. 2 lane.
The Toyota driver attempted to turn right toward the Camarena Health parking lot without ensuring the lane was clear. The Toyota’s rear end struck the front of the Subaru, causing both vehicles to flip. Emergency responders transported the Toyota’s driver and passenger to a local hospital for treatment.
