Yuma, AZ (October 26, 2025) – A man was seriously injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Laguna Dam Road and County 5 1/2 Street in Yuma, according to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at approximately 10:35 a.m. on October 24. A 2001 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound on a dirt road when the driver attempted a wide turn and collided with a 2007 Dodge Dakota heading north on Laguna Dam Road.
The driver of the Ford, identified as a 67-year-old Yuma resident, was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews. He was treated on scene and then rushed to Onvida Health with serious injuries.
Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
