Bakersfield, CA (November 21, 2025) – Two women were taken to the hospital following a serious crash Monday near Lamont that left one car overturned during rainy road conditions.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on November 17 on Di Giorgio Road, just west of San Diego Street. Investigators said the women were driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound at a reduced speed due to wet road conditions when their vehicle was struck from behind by a Dodge Charger.
The force of the impact caused the Corolla to overturn, while the Charger continued north and eventually came to a stop on nearby railroad tracks. Emergency responders transported both drivers to Kern Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
