Sutter County, CA (August 23, 2025) – A woman lost her life following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Live Oak Boulevard and Eager Road in northern Sutter County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. on August 20. Authorities say the driver of a Hyundai Elantra was heading northbound on Live Oak Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto westbound Eager Road. In doing so, the Hyundai moved into the path of a southbound Honda Accord.
The two vehicles collided head-on. The Hyundai came to a stop in the northbound lane of Live Oak Boulevard with significant front-end damage, while the Honda ended up in a dirt and gravel lot near the Korean Methodist Church.
A female passenger in the Hyundai was transported to Adventist Health and Rideout Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Both drivers sustained minor injuries. The Honda driver was taken to a local hospital, while the Hyundai driver declined medical transport.
