San Diego, CA (August 23, 2025) – A 19-year-old Escondido man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Talmadge Village area of San Diego, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
According to reports, the crash occurred just after 2:00 p.m. on August 20 along Fairmount Avenue, north of Aldine Drive. Authorities say Matthew Jack Jimenez was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck overturned and rolled onto an embankment, ejecting Jimenez from the vehicle.
First responders arrived shortly after the crash and pronounced Jimenez dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
The San Diego Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
