NEZ PERCE COUNTY, ID (January 6, 2025) – A fatal accident occurred Monday morning when a Toyota 4Runner veered off Old Spiral Highway and plummeted 200 feet into a ravine.
According to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, two individuals were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One person managed to climb out of the wreckage and seek help at a nearby house, while the other survivor was transported to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, one individual died in the crash.
Authorities are still working to confirm the identity of the deceased and determine which occupant was driving the vehicle when it left the road.
