According to reports, the fatal accident happened around 8:00 p.m. on August 23 at the intersection of Southeast 3rd Avenue and South Lakeside Drive. Amarillo Police stated that both motorcycles were traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when one rider lost control and veered into the other, causing a violent collision.
