Los Gatos, CA (August 27, 2025) – A San Jose woman was killed and several others were injured early Saturday morning in a head-on wrong-way crash on Highway 17 in Los Gatos, authorities confirmed.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were alerted at 12:38 a.m. on August 24 to a Toyota Camry driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 17, just south of Santa Cruz Avenue. The vehicle reportedly forced another car off the roadway before crashing head-on into a Honda Del Sol and then colliding with a Honda Civic.

Emergency personnel arrived shortly after and declared a 43-year-old San Jose woman, a passenger in the wrong-way Camry, deceased at the scene. Three others were injured in the crash, including the Del Sol driver (major injuries), the Civic driver (moderate injuries), and the wrong-way driver himself, a 44-year-old man from San Jose.
