Temecula, CA (August 27, 2025) – A violent multi-fatality crash on Interstate 15 claimed four lives Saturday night, including 36-year-old Nicholas Callans of Wildomar, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner.
Officials with the California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m. on August 23 just north of Winchester Road. Investigators say Callans was driving a white Nissan Sentra when it was struck by a black BMW M4, which was reportedly being driven recklessly on the southbound side of I-15.
The impact triggered a fiery crash that resulted in the deaths of four people. Nicholas Callans was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:08 p.m.
Two others were seriously injured and hospitalized. Authorities continue to investigate what led up to the crash and whether speed or impairment were factors.
