Cass County, MI (August 28, 2025) – Authorities in Cass County responded to a two-vehicle collision late Wednesday morning that sent one person to the hospital. The crash occurred just before 11:30 a.m. on August 27 along Dixon Street near Indian Lake Road in Silver Creek Township.
According to the Michigan State Police, investigators determined that a 66-year-old man from Dowagiac was driving eastbound on Dixon Street when he attempted to turn toward the Silver Creek Township Hall. In doing so, he failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 27-year-old woman from Hartford. A 64-year-old female passenger in the Dowagiac man’s car was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
