San Luis Obispo, CA (August 29, 2025) – A crash involving a semi-truck and a sedan on Thursday morning slowed traffic for miles along the southbound side of Highway 101 near Stagecoach Road and the base of Cuesta Grade.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:26 a.m. on August 28. Emergency radio traffic indicated that the collision involved a blue sedan and a semi-truck, blocking the No. 2 and 3 southbound lanes of Highway 101. Only one lane remained open for southbound traffic during the response.
A tow truck was called to the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m., and by noon, Caltrans confirmed that the roadway was fully cleared and traffic had resumed normal flow. Occupants of the involved vehicles were reported to be out of their cars when emergency responders arrived. At this time, it is unclear whether any injuries were sustained.
