Elk Grove, CA (August 30, 2025) – A 39-year-old Sacramento man was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle while on his bicycle in Elk Grove. The deadly collision occurred around 2:33 a.m. on August 30 along Calvine Road, between Bader Road and Bradshaw Road.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the man was reportedly sitting on his bicycle in the roadway when an eastbound vehicle struck him. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Officers confirmed the motorist did not appear to be under the influence.
First responders arrived quickly but tragically pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification.
