South Los Angeles, CA (September 2, 2025) – A Sunday night hit-and-run accident left two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies hospitalized after a violent crash at a busy South Los Angeles intersection.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. on September 1 at West 98th Street and South Vermont Avenue. Authorities said the deputies were traveling north on South Vermont Avenue in a marked patrol unit when another vehicle—allegedly driving without headlights—struck their car from the eastbound direction.
