Colorado Springs, CO (September 2, 2025) – One person was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on a remote section of Rampart Range Road, according to local authorities.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on September 2, near mile marker 4 along the unpaved and winding stretch of Rampart Range Road. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and rolled several times down the rugged terrain.
A passenger in the vehicle survived and was able to wave down another motorist to call for help. Emergency crews from the Colorado Springs Fire Department and CSPD launched a coordinated search to locate the crash site.
When responders arrived, they discovered the vehicle overturned with one occupant deceased inside. The identity of the victim has not been publicly released.
