According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:12 p.m. on August 30, north of Middlebrook Drive. Reports state that an unidentified vehicle swerved, causing the driver of a southbound 2006 Ford F-250 to take evasive action. During that maneuver, the 22-year-old pickup driver struck the pedestrian. Emergency personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene at 11:19 p.m. The pickup driver was not injured.
The woman’s name has not yet been released pending notification of her family. The incident remains under investigation.
