Folsom, CA – One Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 50

FOLSOM, CA (January 11, 2025) – A traffic collision on Highway 50 in Folsom sent one person to the hospital Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 12:14 p.m. on eastbound Highway 50, just east of E. Bidwell Street.

CHP reported that a white Ford F-150 pickup truck collided with a Ford F-450 truck towing a trailer carrying a porta-potty. The impact caused airbags to deploy in one of the vehicles.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported one individual to UC Davis Medical Center. The patient, who suffered a head injury and a laceration to their left arm, was unconscious but breathing at the time of transport.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
