Officials said 67-year-old Richard Eddy of Meadville was driving west on Agnew Road when he attempted to cross State Route 18. Eddy’s sedan was struck on the passenger side by a southbound pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver was taken to Meadville Medical Center with what appeared to be minor injuries. Authorities have not announced any charges at this stage of the investigation.
