Detroit, MI (September 10, 2025) – A woman was killed and a man critically injured early Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash led one car to strike the Avenue Grill on Gratiot Avenue.
According to the Michigan State Police, the collision occurred around 2:30 a.m. on September 6 near 2155 Gratiot Avenue. Authorities say that after two vehicles collided, the woman’s car veered off the road and crashed into the side of the Avenue Grill building.
The woman driving the car that struck the building was pronounced dead at the scene. The man driving the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Both individuals’ identities and hometowns have not yet been released.
