Yolo County, CA (September 13, 2025) A driver suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning after striking a tree off Highway 16 near Cleveland Street in the rural Guinda area of Yolo County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on September 12. For reasons still under investigation, a car veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver, reportedly bleeding from the head and suffering a suspected broken leg, was able to crawl out of the wreckage. Emergency crews with Yolo County Fire and EMS responded promptly, first stabilizing the victim at nearby Station 22. The patient was then airlifted to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for further care.
