Beaumont, TX (September 17, 2025) – A tragic early morning crash claimed the life of a young woman in Beaumont on Sunday. Authorities confirmed that 19-year-old Jasmine Batiste was killed in a head-on collision on Washington Boulevard near Fifth Street on September 14.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred when a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Lajanara Stevenson entered the wrong lane and struck Batiste’s car. She had reportedly been on her way to pick up her 3-year-old son at the time of the crash.
