PHILADELPHIA, PA (January 16, 2025) – A 5-year-old boy is in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash Monday night in Philadelphia’s Bridesburg neighborhood.
According to preliminary information from the Philadelphia Police Department, the crash occurred just before 9:20 p.m. near Aramingo Avenue and Wakeling Street. A 30-year-old woman was reportedly driving southbound on Aramingo Avenue when her vehicle struck at least one other car, triggering a chain-reaction collision involving four cars in total.
The woman’s 5-year-old son, who was in her vehicle, sustained severe head trauma and was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
One of the other vehicles involved was occupied by a man and his 6-year-old daughter, who were uninjured but visibly shaken. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
