Dallas, TX (September 18, 2025) – A 41-year-old man lost his life early Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash at a busy Dallas intersection. Officials have identified the deceased as Joab Acosta, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
According to Dallas police, the fatal collision occurred around 2:20 a.m. on September 14 at the intersection of FM 1382 and West Camp Wisdom Road. Two vehicles were reportedly slowing down at a traffic light when Acosta, driving at a high speed, struck the rear of the middle vehicle. The impact caused that vehicle to crash into a third vehicle ahead.
Acosta was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The occupants in the middle vehicle were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Those in the first vehicle suffered minor injuries.
