Brevard County, FL (September 22, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash on Sunday morning led to the rollover of a Nissan sedan and sent one driver to the hospital with major injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near mile marker 206 on September 21. The incident involved a 2021 Nissan Maxima and a Dodge Ram 2500 that was towing a trailer. For reasons that have not yet been disclosed, the vehicles collided and the Nissan overturned, prompting officials to close all southbound lanes for an extended period.
The 62-year-old male driver of the Nissan, a resident of Cocoa, was classified as a trauma alert and transported to Holmes Regional Hospital. The driver and passenger of the Dodge Ram were not injured and declined medical transport.
All travel lanes have since reopened following the on-scene investigation and cleanup.
