Franklin, MO (January 19, 2025) – A tragic crash on Missouri 100 at Interstate 44 resulted in the death of a 45-year-old man from Pacific, MO, on January 18. The incident occurred around 5:54 PM and involved a 1990 Yamaha dirt bike and an unidentified white SUV.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the dirt bike, not equipped with lights, was traveling westbound on Missouri 100. The SUV was heading eastbound and attempted a left turn to enter westbound I-44, striking the dirt bike’s left side. The collision caused the dirt bike to veer off the road, strike a bridge rail, and eject its driver from the overpass onto westbound I-44.

The dirt bike driver, who was not wearing safety gear, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 6:10 PM by Meramec EMS personnel. The SUV left the scene, and its driver has not been identified.
