Adelanto, CA (January 19, 2025) – Richard Metcalf, 61, of San Diego, was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident Friday evening on Highway 395 in Adelanto.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 PM near Cactus Road, according to the Victorville Police Department. Metcalf was in the number two northbound lanes of the highway when a white Cadillac Escalade struck him for reasons that remain under investigation.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Metcalf deceased. The Victorville County Coroner’s Office later identified him.

Authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. No additional details have been released at this time.
