Colden, NY (September 29, 2025) – A tragic crash last week in Erie County claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman from Arizona after her vehicle landed in a roadside ditch.
According to the New York State Police, dispatchers received a call around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, about a single-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Heath Road and Hayes Hollow Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a severely damaged vehicle in a ditch on the south side of Heath Road, facing north.
First responders performed CPR on the driver, identified as Anne Archibald of Tempe, Arizona. After detecting a pulse, she was rushed to Erie County Medical Center. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead overnight on Sunday.
