Madera County, CA. (October 2, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle crash in North Fork on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a woman and left another person seriously injured, according to officials.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:38 p.m. on October 1 near the intersection of North Fork Road and Duke Road. A 69-year-old woman from North Fork was driving a sedan eastbound when, for reasons still under investigation, she crossed into the westbound lane on a curve. Her vehicle collided head-on with a Chevy Silverado driven by a 75-year-old man from Fresno.
The woman died at the scene. The driver of the pickup sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
